Maggie's Bottle and Tail, located next to the restaurant, was named for Cosmo's sister, an adopted blue tic hound. Much like the namesake, the retail shop is brimming with personality. The shop was opened on St. Patrick's Day in 2010 to a warm reception by dog lovers and oenophiles alike. The walls and displays are filled with an eclectic array of merchandise ranging from wearable to whimsical. The wine inventory features incredible bargains on many high quality labels that are seldom found in other venues. Beer lovers' will be overwhelmed by the vast selection of different ales and stouts that are offered as singles or sixpacks. Maggie's even features a "build your' own" six pack that allows one to selection a variety of beer to broaden one's beer experience. Popular high gravity labels and many seasonably brewed ales are available as well. Many local jewelry makers and artisans have chosen Maggie's as the avenue upon which to display their unique hand-crafted creations. From silver and beaded jewelry to lovingly crafted hair accessories, the shop offers a menagerie of lovely and unusual gift ideas. Dog lovers will certainly find something that strikes their fancy among the many colorful books and art pieces dedicated to our fine four legged companions. Always dedicated to the community, the proprietors have also designated Maggie's Bottle and Tail as a Baldwin Animal Rescue Center food pantry, collecting donations for many local animals that have yet to find their forever home. |
